dSkills@EA Partners hold 4th Joint Steering Committee Meeting in Kampala

On 24 March, the project stakeholders behind dSkills@EA – CENIT@EA held their 4th Joint Steering Committee Meeting. The one-day event was held at IUCEA headquarters in Kampala, Uganda. Representatives from the Inter-University Council of East Africa itself were joined by delegates from GIZ, Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), the East African Science & Technology Commission (EASTECO), the East African Communications Organisation (EACO), the East African Business Council (EABC) and the University of Oldenburg. The Committee members, supported by the Technical Team of the project, discussed the progress and joint work plan for dSkills@EA. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Gaspard Banyankimbona, Executive Secretary of IUCEA and co-chaired by Ms Godje Bialluch, Cluster Coordinator East Africa at GIZ. Meetings of this kind take usually place every six months.
