From 15 – 17 March 2023, the Inter-University Council of East Africa (IUCEA) is hosting an Academia-Public–Private-Partnership Forum (APPPF) under the theme “Nurturing Sustainable Skills Development for Graduate Employability Through Academia-Industry Partnerships”. The Forum will be held at Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC), Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania. The forum will give participants an opportunity to engage with the education community, industry & development partners.
The Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA), together with National Private Sector Apex Bodies in EAC Partner States and the East African Business Council (EABC) have organised the 12th Academia Public Private-Partnership Forum (APPPF) and Exhibition.
APPPF is held every two years and it brings together academia, the private sector, and the government to deliberate on how to foster joint dialogue and enhance the linkage between the private sector and higher education institutions, as well as engagement with the public sector. Participants include academic and research institutions, private sector foundations, and federations and their members, students, and employers’ associations from all the EAC Partner States and Development Partners.
The Forum will provide an opportunity for private sector bodies and higher education institutions to engage and create awareness about their work related to nurturing skills for youth employment and promoting entrepreneurial culture.
The forum will include exhibitions to showcase success stories and provide a platform to share updates on research, innovations by academia-industry partnerships, and any potential collaborations related to academia-private-public sector dialogues on topical issues on skills development, youth employability, knowledge generation, and research.
